The Vatican Secretary of State opened the premises of the new Nuncio in Ljubljana

Today, the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, opened the new premises of the Apostolic Nuncio in Ljubljana and emphasized that this is an important moment in relations between Slovenia and the Holy See.

The new nuncio premises of two connected estates. The building in Ulica stare pravde was thoroughly renovated by the company VG5, while the rather dilapidated house in Ulica Janeza Pavla II was demolished and a new one was built on this site. 

The renovated building, which is connected to the neighbouring one by a paved courtyard and driveway, houses offices, receptions and spaces for other needs, while the newly built building houses apartments and a chapel with works by Slovenian friar Marko Ivan Rupnik. The Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who is on a three-day working visit to Slovenia these days, also blessed the premises, describing the opening of the new nuncio as "an important moment in relations between Slovenia and the Holy See".
