First Vice-President of the European Commission at our construction site

At our construction site in Rijeka, where we are carrying out work on the Šečerana Palace within the entire Rikard Benčič complex, the first Vice-President of the European Commission, Frans Timmermans, stopped on the way and watched the progress of the work.
The "Sugar" Palace is part of the Croatian cultural heritage from 1752 and was built as the administrative building of a sugar refinery. With its frescoes, stucco and ceramics it represents the most beautiful baroque building on the Adriatic. The building is undergoing extensive reconstruction with the aim of becoming the first city museum in Rijeka.
