Renovation of the castle walls at Šance on the castle hill

The company VG5 is renovating the monument-protected building of the architect Jože Plečnik. Works performed at Šance under the supervision of ZVKDS (Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia) Ljubljana and the investor:

- Rehabilitation of brick arches and floor surfaces in wall niches by replacing dilapidated bricks

- Rehabilitation of walls - stone walls with systematic injection of liquid cement bonder

- Cleaning / sandblasting of the wall railings and repainting of the steel railings

- Cleaning and rehabilitation of stone walls and walking surfaces

- Demolition of stairs on the walls and construction of new terrazzo stairs according to the original plans of arch. Plečnik

- Removal of stone balcony railings on the wall and construction of a new stone balcony balustrade according to the original plans of architect Plečnik.
